The magenta box is the Spitzer IRS Long-Low strip (area of double redundant coverage in both LL orders). The red and green boxes represent the range of roll angles available with the 47" Herschel PACS spectrograph field, and the blue boxes are (if allowed) aligned with the SINGS LL radial strip. The yellow text adjacent to each position indicate the average TIR SB in that region (not corrected for point source vs. extended). Cyan plus marks are currently selected HII regions (from among SINGS, plus additional regions chosen from the non-SINGS targets). The cyan diamond shows the nucleus (from the sample center).
